Over the last 2 and a half years I’ve made most of my money online through advertising on Facebook, not so much anymore.
I ended up losing a large affiliate product I sold and got blocked on Facebook for advertising a money making e-book, well that’s what they said even though I wasn’t.
Now I make most of my passive income through email marketing and ranking websites in Google. The email marketing is good, but I don’t want my eggs in one basket so I also have Clickbank and Adsense websites.
I’m simply going to show you one of the easiest ways to start making money online. This isn’t like the Shopify method where you sell products, this is making an income on autopilot.
This is something you can upscale because the more websites you make and rank the more money you make.
I’m going to go through this in 3 steps.
This is about micro niche Adsense websites and this works for things like Clickbank products also. Let’s look at some passive income opportunities.

Finding an Interest and Those Easy Keywords
This is where it all starts.
There are all types of types of passive income but this one works great for me.
Now you can either go with a micro niche website or a large authority site. However, keep in mind with an authority site it will take more work and generally, you will need to target larger harder keywords.
So the first step is to find a niche to get into.
What I do is go to the Stumbleupon Interest section and start scrolling. It’s a great idea to use this site because it’s so easy.
This image speaks for itself and you can see some of the interest that wouldn’t cross your mind.
All you need to do is find some niches then move on to the keyword research.
Let’s say you found a niche about “homebrewing”.
Now what I would do is write down some seed keywords for my research.
- Homebrew
- Homebrew supplies
- Homebrew kits
- Homebrew recipes
- Best homebrew recipe
- How to make homebrew
Now that I have some keyword Ideas I head into Long Tail Pro and start my research, this part really just depends on how you look at things.
My advice would be, don’t over think it and spend too much time doing this because you might get stuck and never move to the next step.
Using Long Tail Pro I throw all my seed keywords in then find keywords that fall into my specifications.
I generally go for something like this.
- CPC $1+
- Search volume 1000+ a month and below 15000 a month.
- Keyword competition below 35 but ideally below 30
- Websites that are not keyword optimized in the top 10
- Low quality old outdated websites in the top 10
One thing to remember is, don’t get advertiser competition mixed up with keyword competition.
With keyword research only you can decide if the keyword is right for you, it’s up to you to do the research. I say this because keyword programs are just guidelines you can’t just click a magic button and find the best keywords on the internet. You want keywords the will generate income.
Let’s look at an example.
In the picture above I have found the keyword “making wine at home” with a search volume of 1000 a month.
The search volume is at the lowest end, but most of the websites don’t have many juicy links (strong links).
The top 10 websites also don’t have the best optimized titles so this is a good sign. They are good but I could do better.
The next step would be to open all the top 10 and see how optimized the pages are, check to see how outdated the site is while you are doing this.
Should you check the backlinks of the top 10?
Yes and No. I say this because imagine if you looked at the backlinks and they looked weak, but they have a private blog network pointing to the site.
I skim through the backlink profiles and look for super strong backlinks, if I don’t find any then I’m good to go.
Please keep in mind if you find other niche websites that are just made to rank for a passive income then most of the time they will have strong private blog networks pointing to them.
What would I do with the keyword above?
Since the keyword gets 1000 searches a month I would find 2 more keywords that are around 500 searches a month then write an article with all 3 keywords in it.
This will bring my article up in search volume bringing me in more monthly income.
As for all the other metrics like page and domain authority I look at these lightly since they can be manipulated with spam links, still take them into consideration.

Building A Quick and Easy Passive Income Micro Niche Website
This is step 2 and it’s important to get these websites set up quickly.
This online income method will not make you super rich and it will take time to make some good money out of it, this means speed is our best friend.
You can make a website yourself, It’s super easy!
I make all my own websites and I try to get the website fully setup with 4 articles in under 1 hour. I love reading about passive income ideas and this is a good one that works.
First, you will need some articles, I just pay someone to write my articles and you can use iWriter
I suggest iWriter for cheap average articles and elance for quality articles at a higher price.
For hosting, I host all my niche website over at Bluehost since they are quite cheap and I want to keep the price down.
I won’t go into much detail with this step because the formula is quite simple.
- Nice clean website
- Keyword optimized article
- Google AdSense placement

Building Backlinks To boost Those Rankings
In 2015 everyone is talking about natural backlinks, could you imagine how hard it is to get natural backlinks to a website like this?
It’s very hard.
The ones who tell us natural backlinks are the key to Google rankings and passive income are the ones with massive blogs and websites that people want to actually link to.
The thing is these little micro niche websites are very simple and no one really knows about them so you will find it impossible to get natural backlinks. You might get some once you rank but you need to build your own backlinks until then.
My strategy right now involves 4 things
- Tumblr’s
- Weebly Sites
- Directories
- A Private Blog Network
Most of my readers know about the SEO hack I use on my websites, I learned this off a guy who does some SEO work for me.
This stuff works! I have ranked some super easy keywords with this strategy, but I’ve now started to add PBN links for even more power.
Anyhow, the point is you need to build backlinks to your website to get them to rank….without backlinks nothing will happen and you have a dead site.
Have a look at some results.
This one here is position 21 from 9 backlinks. I dropped links on 7 high PA Tumblrs and made 2 Weebly web 2.0s linking to the website also.
This website already has some good authority so that gave it a good boost. The page itself only has 11 Tumblrs pointing to it and a few random forums links….. Seriously that’s how powerful these links are. It dropped back to 15 but it will be back.
This website here is only 5 weeks old with 1 PBN link pointing to it.
This one has around 25 Tumblr’s pointing to it, 3 Weebly’s and some outsourced SEO work.
As you can see those are some tasty results and it’s not very complicated.
I take no credit for this Tumblr strategy I actually learned it from someone who you will meet soon on our new forum we have started.

Right now what I do is buy high PA Tumblrs and Weebly’s from Source Revive like I show you in my SEO guide and drop a link to my website.
Easy right?
Then I usually add 2 or 3 directory links for diversity. I remember reading an article somewhere about Google shutting down directories and they don’t work well anymore.
Just remember those were spammy directories so if you find a couple of high quality ones you will be good, plus they are free links.
Now for that extra super strong link juice.
After my SEO guy gave me his private blog network article to post I just had to start building one myself.

I now have a PBN with 18 strong domains that I can log onto any time and drop links to my money sites. if you want more ways to create passive income you could sell links.
I’m adding more domains to it every now and then slowly growing it.
You can outsource your SEO if you like but make sure you know what the person is doing and get reports.
You could even add SEO to your passive income streams.
Final Words
If you’re looking at making some money online and different types of income then this is something you should look into. It will take time but once you have some sites ranked you will be getting paid. This is one of the best online passive income ideas and opportunities.
Just remember you NEED backlinks, without them this would be a waste of time unless you got extremely lucky.
Spend some time on keyword research and making the website but spend your most valuable time on creating those backlinks and you will rank.

How much can you really make from this?
I estimate around $100-$500 a month per website, let’s say you have 10 sites pulling in $250 a month then that $2500 a month.
