To get started, I have been trying to do this affiliate marketing for several years and finally IT WORKED. I didn’t think it would be it finally did. And the feeling of when you finally made your first sale is like none other. You won’t care how much time and money you put into it. When you get that first sale. You will be like “HOT DIGGITY”(yes I’m old school). But nevertheless your first sale will give you the drive to make more and more and more. Let me tell you, when you first start affiliate marketing, the goal is not to make sales right off the bat even if you do. The goal is to gain as many email subscribers as you can.
Once you at least gain 10,000 email subscribers you will then start to see sales coming in. You email list will become your traffic which means you will no longer have to continue buying traffic. However, you can continue building your email list so you can earn even more income to your hearts desires. Like I said your email list will be your traffic so you will no longer have to buy ads or post on facebook or anything like that. You can even use your email list for youtube. Want to get more views? Send out a notification to your subscribers and watch and see how many views you will get overnight. Now you see the many advantages to having an email list.
You own that list and you and only YOU can send email them offers when you want. Sure you can create a facebook page but facebook has guidelines and technically anyone who join your group is still owned by facebook. They can make a change tomorrow and whatever that will be could affect your business. Instagram already removed how people can see likes and Facebook owns Instagram. A lot of peoples careers started on Instagram too so they rely on those likes. So with that being said let’s look at how you can start affiliate marketing even as a newcomer.
Using Clickbank
Let’s get started. The first thing you will have to do is open a Clickbank account. Its free to use. What is clickbank you ask? Clickbank is an online affiliate network. People who have products online can post them on clickbank. They need customers. That’s where you the marketer come in at. You can promote their product using an affiliate link. If someone clicks on your link and purchase the product you will get a commission. Clickbank has multiple categories to choose from. Once you create an account, you go to the top of the page and click on marketplace. Scroll down and you will see many different categories on the left you can choose from. Here’s the top categories or niches you may want to promote in affiliate marketing.
- Make Money Online.
- Health and Fitness.
- Relationships.
- Woodworking.
These categories are selling. Now why did I choose these? Think of it like this. Imagine a highway and there’s cars driving along the highway. You are the billboard sign and the customers are the cars. If there are no cars driving you the highway then who will see your billboard sign? You want to be on a busy street where people will see your ad. The streets are the categories aka niches. That’s basically how affiliate marketing works. Now when you pick a category in clickbank, you will then see all the different types of products that you can market.
You can sort them out by popularity or gravity. But be sure to sort them by gravity. Gravity will show you how many people made sales on each of those products. I also advise check marking recurring sales, and check marking vendor has affiliate page. You will want both of those. Vendors can provide all sorts of tools from banners to email swipes and even landing pages for affiliate marketers. They will do that to make your job easier because the more you sell the more money you will make them. Lastly observe their product page as if you are buying their product. Does the page load up? Is it readable? If you’re a customer would you buy product from their sales page. If you think the page looks good then go back in clickbank and click the promote button.
From there you will be taken to a page that will give you an affiliate link. Click on generate Hop-links then it will give you your affiliate link. Now just don’t take your link and post it on Instagram or in facebook groups. You will NOT make any sales like that. In fact people will probably spam you and facebook will most likely block your account. Yes, social media is a powerful tool but they also have A LOT and I mean A LOT of restrictions. I’ve seen people garnered thousands of leads without social media which I will get into later on. So in affiliate marketing we will have to go about this another way.
Using Clickfunnels
You will need to make a landing page. Clickfunnels is the best service out there to make a landing page. What is Clickfunnels you ask? Clickfunnels is an online sales funnel builder that helps businesses market, sell, and deliver their products online. This tool simplifies online marketing, selling, and delivery of their products and services by providing users with funnel options that are pre-built for a specific business, product, or service. Its user friendly and you don’t need to have any special skills like coding. So the first thing you need to do is create a clip funnels account.
You can get started with a 14-day free trial. You can quit whenever you want there is no contract but I advise you to try to make money doing this 14 day trial even though I said your main focus will be to build your email list. These programs that I will be mentioning in this blog you can also make money as a affiliate marketer for them. once you create an account with clickfunnels you will be then taken to the dashboard, once you are there you need to build a funnel.
You can do that by either clicking on the green build a funnel button near the center of the page or going up to the click funnels tab and click on build a funnel from there in the drop-down menu. Once you do a pop up screen should appear and gives you two options. Use a Cookbook or Create a Funnel. I will show you the cookbook option later but for now we will create a funnel. Then I would ask you if you wanted to build an email list sell products or host a webinar. Click on build an email list. Now, yes your emails will appear in Clickfunnels but we will not use their email service. We will use a different service which I will talk about soon. Next it will bring you to the next.
On the next page it will ask you to name your funnel. You can name it whatever you want but I advise you to name it the product you are promoting. Once you are done it will bring you to the next page. You will see on the left, you have an Optin Page and a Thank You Page. Your optin page is the 1st page the customer will see first. You will also need a Thank You Page. Be kind to your Customers. They liked to be thanked. Especially since they are giving you their email address. I’m not gonna get into too much detail on creating a landing page. I will explain more in another post but for the most part it is pretty self explanatory. A lot of it is drag and drop, resize and type words. Easy work right?. Also explore the different templates
Clickfunnels have to offer for your affiliate marketing needs. Create a beautiful optin page then create a thank you page. Once you are done, you will then save your work. You will have to link your page to your email marketing service but we’ll get into that later as well.
CREATE YOUR EMAIL LIST WITH AWEBER
There are many different types of email marketing services online that you can use to send emails out for affiliate marketing. I’m pretty sure anyone can use any once they learn how but after experimenting with several of different email services, I find that Aweber is the best and easiest to use. They have no restrictions at least that I haven’t came across any. Now in order to build your email list, you will have to integrate Aweber to Clickfunnels. So in affiliate marketing, subscribers will give you their email on your landing page in Clickfunnels. After integrating Aweber with Clickfunnels, their email will automatically sent back to Aweber. From there, you can send the a follow up email series and broadcast messages to your email subscribers. People may unsubscribe you but that’s fine. Keep do affiliate marketing and you will get more subscribers to replace them.
TRACK YOUR LINKS WITH CLICKMAGICK
This step is very important for Affiliate Marketing. You need to know where you’re subscribers are coming from. Clickmagick can tell you how many unique clicks you have gotten and how many fake clicks/bots you have gotten. So if you put your links on an advertising website and clickmagick tells you that you’ve gotten a lot of not clicks then you will know not to use that website anymore. See the power of clickmagick. Its very useful. In affiliate marketing, clickmagick basically filters out the types of clicks you will get. If you don’t filter out where you’re clicks are coming from then you will be spending more money in affiliate marketing than you have to.
BUY SOLO ADS WITH UDIMI
Now this is were you will start making money. Alot of Affiliate Marketers are using Udimi.com now. Udimi pretty much guarantees you to earn money on Clickbank. Now I know alot of you are wondering what is Udimi? Udimi is a marketplace where you can buy solo ads. Now I bet you’re probably wondering what are solo ads? Solo Ads is a marketing tool used in email marketing in order to get traffic, leads, and… eventually, make sales. Solo Ads are email ads which are ads placed in emails sent out to potential customers and they click on your affiliate link in the email ad through which you’re promoting your offer.”.
This is a very useful tool and most of the solo ads do actually make sales. How does this work you ask?? So go to Udimi and create a free a account. Once you do that then click on Find a Seller. There are many sellers to choose from but my advice is to pick a seller that has at least 40% sales for their customers. Send the seller your affiliate link. Now like I said before in Affiliate Marketing, you will have to spend money to make money. Start out with 300 clicks. Then after awhile move up to 500 clicks, then move up to 700 clicks. GIVE YOUR WEBSITE A PROFESSIONALDOMAIN NAME WITH NAMECHEAP
Of course your website needs a web address. But don’t use the default web address that Clickfunnels or WordPress gives you. You want a professional web address. The best service to me is namecheap.com. They are cheap and easy to use. You can get a domain with Clickfunnels but the problem with that is you will spend at least $20 where as namecheap prices are around $8. Can’t beat that price. The only thing is there is a couple more steps to take when integrating namecheap with Clickfunnels which I will get into later on.
You will need a domain name for your website or landing page that you are making. Whatever name you choose it should be something the visitors can easily remember. Visitors come to see what you’ve done and what you’re website so your domain name will technically be your first impression so make a good lasting one.
START PAID ADVERTISEMENT CAMPAIGNS

In combination with using solo ads on Udimi, you should start ad campaigns with other sites. Here a couple good sites where you can create campaigns in affiliate marketing and get quality links. Bing Ads. Bing Ads are now called Microsoft Ads. You can get high quality traffic for as little as 25 dollars a day. Millions of people use their watch engines so you will get a good amount of leads. Google Ads are good. There is a lot more people using Google search engine than Bing but the only issue is Google Ads are more expensive than BingAds.
Facebook are also another great source to create ads for affiliate marketing. They are cheaper than Google Ads and Bing ads and also has the largest audience. You can also try Pinterest Ads as well. To become an experience affiliate marketer, you will have to try several different programs. Some may fail others may suit you. You goal is to find out which one works best for you.
